A big well done to Katie and Jack from West Monkton who have successfully completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The Bronze DofE programme has 4 sections: Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition.  To receive the award an Explorer has to do a minimum of 3 months activity for each of the Volunteering, Physical and Skills sections, and plan, train for and do a 2 day (1 night) Expedition. They also have to spend an extra three months on one of the Volunteering, Physical or Skills sections.

Katie and Jack are pictured below with their badge and award certificate.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
