Scouts Activity Camp 2019

Date: 27th May 2019 Author: West Monkton

38 Scouts took part in a very active and full on camp at Huish Woods this weekend. Filled with adventurous activities, designed to build teamwork and patience, with many being pushed outside their comfort zone.  From night climbing and caving to archery and sleeping under the stars.

There have been tears, fears and triumphs as well as sunshine and smiles. The whole leadership team have been thoroughly impressed by the Scouts attitudes, determination and continual drive to achieve their best throughout the weekend, despite being exhausted.

A massive thank you to all the leadership team that was part of the weekend.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
