Scouts Hunger Games

Date: 21st Oct 2018 Author: West Monkton

Well that’s the end of another big camp! It truly was a difficult one to plan, coordinate and run. All of which couldn’t of been done through the support and contribution of the Leaders, Young Leaders and parent help. Everyone supported enormously and I personally would like to say a huge thank you to all. There were 61 Scouts that took part over the weekend in total, which is the biggest single section camp we have run to date. And from the comments on Facebook, I think it’s fair to say they have had a great time. We only allow immediate family on our Facebook group, so please feel free to copy the pictures of your son/daughter on to your own profiles, and share their adventure with your friends and family.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
