St George’s Big Weekend 2021

Somerset County are pleased to announce ST.GEORGE’S BIG WEEKEND. Following the success of Virtual Camp last May, and by popular demand, we are thrilled to be bringing you another county camping at home experience.

On 23rd– 25th April 2021,  we invite all members of Scouting in Somerset to join us by pitching a tent in the garden, putting up a shelter or building a den in the lounge.

Our huge virtual campsite will be found at www.somersetscouts.org.uk and this time there will be EIGHT ZONES, full of activities and challenges for all ages. There will be something for members of all sections.

There will be live streamed events via facebook during the weekend, a whole county promise renewal and a campfire – with lots of guest appearances.

On Sunday, we’ll be linking up with Scoutadelic for their Togetherness 2021 Global Online St George’s Day event.

We still have to camp at home – but we’ll be doing it together!

Let us know you are taking part

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
